Job Description

Be part of Amazon’s dedicated team at their delivery station, the final stop before delivering smiles to customers. In this fast-paced, dynamic role, you’ll receive trucks filled with orders and prepare them for delivery. You’ll be loading conveyors, transporting packages, and prepping them for drivers to collect.

Duties and Responsibilities

Your day-to-day tasks may include:

• Receiving and preparing inventory for delivery.
• Using technology like smartphones and handheld devices to sort, scan, and prepare orders.
• Building, wrapping, sorting, and transporting pallets and packages.

You’ll also need to be able to:

• Lift up to 49 pounds.
• Receive deliveries from trucks.
• Follow instructions on screens for certain tasks.
• Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout your shifts.
• Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other equipment to move items.
• Climb up and down stairs (where applicable).
• Work at heights of up to 40 feet on a mezzanine (where applicable).

What It’s Like to Work at an Amazon Delivery Station

• Environment: You’ll work around moving machines like order pickers, forklifts, turret trucks, and mobile carts.
• Activity: Some tasks might require standing still for long periods, walking, or climbing stairs.
• Temperature: Even with temperature controls, warehouse temps can range from 60°F to 90°F. On hot days, temperatures in truck yards or trailers can exceed 90°F.
• Noise: It can be loud at times, but hearing protection is available if needed.
• Dress Code: Casual, but with safety in mind. Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are required, and some units require safety footwear. Amazon provides a $110 Zappos gift code to buy shoes for your first day, depending on the role.
